SMS Opt-In Call-to-Action (Verbal Script)

Documentation of how end users consent to SMS during a phone call. Last updated: June 22, 2026.

This page documents the verbal opt-in (call-to-action) used by the Talvio AI receptionist, operated by AdjusterFlow LLC, on behalf of the local service businesses that use the platform. It is provided so that mobile carriers and reviewers can verify how end users consent to receive SMS messages.

How consent is collected

When a customer phones a business that uses Talvio, the AI receptionist books, reschedules, or cancels an appointment. While collecting the customer’s phone number during that call, the receptionist speaks the following disclosure aloud, word for word:

AI receptionist says“I’ll send a text confirmation to this number. Message and data rates may apply, message frequency varies, and you can reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. Is it okay if I send that confirmation text to this number?”Customer answers“Yes.”

The customer must affirmatively agree (for example, “Yes”) before any text is sent. This spoken yes/no exchange is the customer’s express consent to receive transactional SMS messages at that number. If the customer declines, no message is sent. The receptionist never sends a message unless the customer has verbally agreed during this flow.

Exact point in the call flow

1The customer calls the business and asks to book, reschedule, or cancel an appointment.
2The AI receptionist collects the appointment details (name, date, time, and address if applicable).
3When collecting the customer’s phone number, the receptionist speaks the SMS disclosure quoted above.
4The customer provides their phone number and verbally agrees to receive the confirmation text by answering “Yes” when asked for permission.
5One or more transactional messages may be sent regarding the customer’s appointment, including confirmations, reminders, reschedule notices, or cancellation notices.

Second opt-in method (inbound text)

Customers may also opt in by texting the business’s published phone number first. In that case, the customer’s inbound message constitutes consent, and the business replies only in response to that message.

Messages sent

Only transactional, customer-care messages are sent: appointment confirmations, reschedule notices, and cancellation notices. No marketing or promotional messages are sent under this program. Message frequency varies with appointment activity. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help.
